A forestry truck drives away through the Arizona woods. Six men are inside. Their friend Travis Walton is still on the ground behind them. When they return, he is gone. This feature-length Unexplained History documentary follows the November 1975 encounter, the five-day search and the late-night telephone call that brought Walton home. We enter the unfamiliar rooms he described, follow the pressure on his family and coworkers, and trace the account through The Walton Experience, the film Fire in the Sky and his later interpretation of the beings he remembers. Brief original recordings bring Walton and witness Steve Pierce into the telling, alongside an early telephone report of the return. The final chapter returns to the records, the polygraph examinations and the changing witness statements. It weighs the proposed Gentry lookout-tower explanation and distinguishes established events from disputed accounts.
